Rams Hill Community Connection™
Wednesday, November 10, 2004
Hi
everyone,
Rams Hill Homeowners Welcome Back Potluck - By now many of you at
Rams Hill have received a Flyer at your door for a Welcome Back Potluck which
is set for Friday, November 12 at 4:30 pm Santa Rosa Pool. Bring your own
beverage and a dish to share. Plates and utensils provided.
Date Change - Just spoke with Steve Adams at the Clubhouse yesterday.
Steve informs us that there has been a date change for the
"Meet the Country Club Owners" Bar-B-Q Party. Instead of
Saturday Nov 13 the new date for the party is now Saturday Nov 27.
Same time, different date. (Not to be confused with the
Nov 12 Potluck at Santa Rosa). If you have any
questions direct them to Steve Adams.
Sewer Fee Surcharge (Revisited) - Kathy McHenry (Santa Fe) reminds
everyone that the Water District Board meeting on Wed. Nov. 24 at 9:00 am will
have on the agenda the Sewer Fee Surcharge that suddenly appeared on our water
bills . This is the date when the Water board agreed to hear complaints &
concerns from Rams Hill residents regarding the $17.14 "sewer fee".
So.... if you are in town you are encouraged to attend that meeting.
Rams Hill Community Association Board Meeting - will be held Dec 1 at
1pm.
Residential Exit Gate - IS NOW OPERATIONAL! And it looks and
works great. The residential entry/exit gates have also received a fresh
coat of paint in a lighter color so they will be more visible at night.
Please observe the speed limit and be aware that there is now a speed bump as
you approach the exit gate.
Clubhouse Improvements - A fresh new look for the interior of the
Clubhouse is coming. More on that in future RH Community
Connections.
Community Recreation Center Pool - is Closed until further notice for
health and safety reasons.
Chamber of Commerce - local support of our Chamber of Commerce is a
community opportunity reminds Richard Shaw, Executive Director. Not only
is it important for local businesses to support the new and improved Chamber,
it is equally important for every member of the community to lend support.
Membership Applications are available on the Chamber website:

Borrego Days Festival Dinner - Several people from Rams Hill,
(including Jan & Alan Newman, Steve Adams, Angelina Fisher, Trudy Melvin, Pat
McArron & Glenn Stokes) were in attendance at the fund raising dinner Oct 30.
Hosted by the deAnza Country Club, the featured guest speaker was Jerry
Mathers of Leave it to Beaver Fame and this year's Parade Grand Marshal.
The money raised at the dinner went to the Diabetes Association. Jerry
is a diabetic and he spoke on that topic as well as sharing stories about his
career as a child star. Many thanks to John Bitner, deAnza General
Manager, for gracious Borrego Springs hospitality.
Clubhouse Staff - If you have not already done so, be sure to
introduce yourselves to the new Rams Hill General Manager Steve Adams and the
new Golf Pro Gary Lynk (that's Lynk with a "y" not an "i"). Very nice
folk.
That's all
this time around.
Sincerely,
Pat
McArron
