What is known at this point:

According to Michael Brixey, Assistant Secretary Property Sales (Western United Life Assurance), there were 10 bidders in the second round of bids that closed on Tuesday, August 3, 2004.

The winning bid was in excess of ten million dollars.

A $100,000 non-refundable deposit is required of the winning bidder.

There is more. According to Claudia at the Clubhouse, the Golf Course is closed to the public on Mon & Tues. Pro-Shop is open to all Wed - Fri, 7am - 12 noon & Sat - Sun, 6:30am - 3pm. Always a good idea to check with the Clubhouse by phone.

It has been 20 years since Rams Hill Country Club was created. The visionary master plan for Rams Hill has never been fully realized. To refresh your memory take a look at the detailed relief model of Rams Hill Country Club as envisioned by the original developer.

If you were to take a walk on the unpaved portion of Rams Hill Drive (above and to the east of the Vallecitos neighborhood) you would be amazed at how many home sites were prepared and utilities placed underground years ago.

If the highest bidder for Rams Hill really has the money and vision for Rams Hill's future then we can breathe a sigh of relief. If, however, the new owner of Rams Hill Country Club does NOT have the ability to carry Rams Hill forward, well...........we have been down this road before.
