PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR GUEST
PARKING
-
Owners and residents
should notify their guests that they must register with the Lobby
Attendant immediately when parking or relocating in the guest parking
area.
-
Long-term guest parking
may not exceed a maximum of ten days. Guests and residents
must sign a
long term
parking form available from the Lobby Attendant. Extensions can be
requested only from the Board of Directors.
-
Non-compliance may
result in a car being towed.
-
Residents may not use
guest parking for their vehicles. Violators will be towed at owner’s
expense.
DAILY REGISTRATION OF ALL
VEHICLES PARKING IN THE GUEST PARKING GARAGE
- Security will call the person the visitor requests to see to verify the
visit or appointment unless the desk previously received a call naming
the guest(s) and the time they are expected to arrive.
- A
visiting car (or service vehicle) registered to a space is entitled to
use that space for 24 hours unless the car is moved. If the car leaves
and returns to another parking space within the 24-hour period, the
driver must change the number of his parking space on the Daily
Registration.
- Home-care providers, housekeepers, contractors, realtors, service
people, etc. must sign-in on the Daily Registration. At sign-in the
building/unit number must be given. (Home-care providers and
housekeepers will be issued white authorization permits the first time
they sign in.)
- Guests going directly to the Recreation Room must register and name the
resident host and the event being hosted in the Rec Room. (Event should
be scheduled on the “Live Calendar”.)
MAINTENANCE, SECURITY, &
CONTRACTUAL SERVICE VEHICLES
-
A current registration
list of all vehicles used by maintenance personnel and security
personnel having access to guest parking facilities should be kept on
file in the Office. Names of personnel, vehicle makes, models, and
license numbers should be on the list. A copy should be sent to
Management; subsequent changes should be sent as they occur.
-
Contractual services
(landscapers and pool service) have designated parking spaces that are
reserved for their use.
GUEST PARKING INSPECTIONS
-
The Guest Parking area
should be checked for unauthorized parked vehicles at least once each
shift. A report listing all unauthorized vehicles parked should be
prepared at each inspection. The list should note the parking space
occupied, license plate number, vehicle color, make & model. The report
should show the date and the time of the inspection. The person doing
the inspection should then sign it.
-
If it appears that a
recorded violation was an oversight and not a reoccurring situation,
Security should make a “courtesy call” to the appropriate resident if
such person is known. If this is a first offense and the situation is
immediately taken care of in a satisfactory manner, the vehicle is no
longer considered to be in violation of the Marina Park Guest Parking
Procedures and will be so noted on the report.
-
Any vehicle in
violation of the procedures will receive a ticket. The security person
on the shift will write the ticket and attach to the vehicle in
violation. One ticket per day may be issued. This action must be noted
on the prepared report.
TICKET FOLLOW UP
-
Copies of tickets
issued throughout a 24-hour period should be sent to Management.
-
Copies of tickets kept
in the Lobby desk should be filed according to the license numbers.
-
After 2 consecutive
tickets have been issued to the same license plate number and the
violation occurs the 3rd time, Security must call Property
Management (or a Board member if Management cannot be reached) for
authorization to have the vehicle towed away. A ticket placed on the car
will indicate that this is the 3rd notice and the towing
company has been authorized to tow the vehicle away at the owner’s
expense.
